My first Splitcoast VSN!

I tried to do as many of the challenges as I could this weekend. I had so much fun!!! Here are the cards I made with a brief discription of each challenge.
The Challenge: Use recycled materials. The blue paper and the gold ribbon were wrapping on a gift I received.
The Challenge: Make something 3D in a nautical theme.
The Challenge: Make a thank you card with out using the words "Thank you" or "Thanks". The lettering is clear heat embossed and the shinny strip on the green is microbeads. They were a lot of fun to use (first time).
The Challenge: Monochromatic Floral Card. The colors are Summer Sun and Barely Banana. The glitter is yellow stickles.
The Challenge: Create a card with a Summer Sun and Chocolate Chip Color Scheme.
The Challenge: Pick your favorite sentiment and have it be the focus of your creation.

Congrats Cheryl!

This is a book that I put together for my niece who is graduating from high school this weekend.

I was inspired by a very different version of this at ReCollections, but of course I had to make it my own. The paper is ReCollections paper and the letters are glitter chipboard. The base book is by Go West and the front cover is colored with Stampin' Up chalk. The main ink used on the inside is Chocolate Chip and Old Olive. The lettering was printed on my home printer and of course it was necessary to use lots and lots of ribbon. I punched holes in the 2007 chipboard letters and tied them on the spine.

Hopefully she will enjoy filling the book with all of her photos and high school memories as much as I enjoyed putting it together!

My First OSW (one sheet wonder)

Well, it took me a while to post, but here is the complete OSW I made for a friend's birthday. I used the template from Stampin' Success and a tin from Oriental Trading. There should have been 14 cards, but I ran out of time and ended up with only 13. I used the "Loves Me" paper since it is her favorite and various stamp sets and Stickle colors.

Thanks for taking a peek!
