It's an inky job, but someone's got to do it!
HI... I just came across your blog. I am glad that his fusion went well... I just had it done on Feb 14.... I had to wear a brace for 3 months (does he?) I just stopped wearing the brace last Tuesday... I am feeling much better, although still have slight pain... I just started therapy this week.... Hopefully will gain some strength back soon.. I am 32 and a mom to a 2 1/2 year old and 4 1/2 year old... the hardest part is not being able to pick up or carry them!!! Just tell your husband that he WILL feel better soon.... just takes time... Beth
Beth,Thank you so much for your comment. I wasn't able to reply directly to you, so I hope you read this. He had the lowest three fused and does not have to wear a brace. We go back on Thursday to make sure the fusion is progressing. He has started moving more the last few days and is starting to feel better as well. We also have a 2 year old, so I can't imagine not being able to pick him up. I hope you continue to feel better and that therapy goes well. We anticpate him starting therapy sometime in the next week or two. Please keep me posted on your progress!
Wow... he had 3 fused!! I had L5 S1 fused... for me now the hardest part is finding a babysitter so that I can go to therapy!!! My email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions!! Beth
